Her first album on her own is called Melody and will be out on July 21, with debut solo single All The Times I Cried out on July 7.
She wrote and produced it herself, apart from one track which was co-produced by ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler at Edwyn Collins'
London studio.
The sultry 40-year-old claims the album was her way of bouncing back after splitting with boyfriend Ashley Heath,
the father of her daughter Misty Kyd.

"SHARLEEN Spiteri claims she's laid herself bare on her debut album and admitted: "This is me".
The 40-year-old releases her first solo album called Melody on July 21, with the single All The Times I Cried on July 7.
While she has enjoyed huge success with her band Texas since they formed in 1988, it has taken until now for Sharleen to go it alone.
And the album was her way of dealing with her split from long-term boyfriend Ashley Heath, the father of her five-year-old daughter, Misty Kyd.
