"Sharleen
Shar is working on a solo album with the help from some surprise guests. The album should be released sometime this year. She has to rest her voice for two months (Jan - Feb), so for the moment she can't sing.

Ally
Ally is recording with Treasure Tones and they plan to do some small gigs in the nearby future. Besides the music Ally is also trying to break through as a photographer.

Tony
Tony is writing songs and rehearsing with his band Kizzy Star and they might do some gigs this year also.

Johnny
Is writing for El Presidente and also recording with them with Michael's help.

Texas
So, Texas isn't splitting up. This year will be a quiet Texas year so they can work on their solo projects and a new Texas album will probably be for 2008. It is possible that they will play at some festivals this summer, so we will keep our eyes open and keep you up to date."

Night Of The Proms

20th October will start Night Of The Proms in Antwerp, Belgium. Concerts will last to 11th November with small breaks --> check Next Concerts.
Sharleen with Il Novecento Symphonic Orchestra will perform 5-6 songs. Other stars which appear on NOTP are: Tears For Fears, Ike Turner, Tony Henry, John Miles & Electric Band.

33rd Gold Badge Awards 2006

Johnny will receive prize of Gold Badge Award from British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. Ceremony will take place 25th October in The Savoy, Strand, London.

Sharleen & Peter Kay will do album together

Sharleen has launched a campaign to get British funnyman Peter Kay a Christmas number one in the UK charts. Kay, who starred in Texas video for Sleep, took a year out from comedy to pursue his obsession for pop and has since performed with Tony Christie and Sir Elton John. Now Sharleen is urging him to get a record together so all his new-found industry friends can promote it in time for a festive hit.

She says, "Peter is amazing, he’s become one of my really good friends. When he asked me if he could appear in the video for Sleep I thought he was having a laugh.
“But it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever done. He loves music and going to gigs, it’s getting a bit obsessive.
“Peter’s got so many mates in the music industry now so I’ve told him to get an album together. He’s performed with me, Tony Christie and Elton John and he’s friends with Paul Weller, Billy Joel and Take That."
“If he got an album together with all of them on there it is bound to go to No1. I’d definitely be on it.
“We are already doing something together at Christmas which I can’t talk too much about. — but of course, it is going to be hilarious.
“It would be great if he managed to get the album together for then as well.”

In new Shimm1's clip called 'Party' it's short part where Sharleen gives interview for Shimm1 after Party In The Park 2005 in Birmingham. They're also cameo's from Craig David and Keisha White. That clip was shown during 'Talent Circle Super Shorts Film Festival' (20-23 July, Music & Dance category)

"Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri, on the other hand, seemed determined to compete with the ill-fated penalty shoot-out, with a series of increasingly irate outbursts at the lack of attention she was receiving - much to the irritation of the English majority. Towards the end of her set, she was struck by an airborne shoe, prompting a tourettes explosion and hissy fit that Axl Rose would have been proud of. After pointing out the one-shoed "Motherf**ker" in the crowd and directing the screen cameras on him, to great applause (for him), microphone was thrown to the ground and off she went. We had never expected Texas' set to be a tenth as exciting."

Sharleen as a vampire :[

French portal M6 Music Hits, published report which concern duet Rammstein and Sharleen in song 'Stirb Nicht Vor Mir'. It's not new material, coz' was realized in the later part of 2005 (4/11/05), but record label just now agreed for publication. Sharleen in it said that she will perform on Rammstein tour (!)
Also 'Stirb Nicht Vor Mir' will be fifth single from Rosenrot.
Premiere of single was planned on 6th June, but it pushed back.

Sharleen's favourite clip of Rammstein is 'Sonne', and just that one will have as a example for clip 'Stirb Nicht Vor Mir' in which will show the transformation Sharleen into the vampire :[ ! She mentioned once that she likes vampires, so she will have ocassion to become one :[
The video will direct by well-known and popular Zoran Bihac, but still don't know when and where. The director said that song is delicate and isn't in Rammstein style, but he will do some rock in it :D
